  • What is an irritated and damaged skin?
    More
  • Irritated and damaged skin, a reality that can affect anyone

The skin is one of the most important part of your body. This organ is very sophisticated and has the ability to self-regulate its temperature and to protect the body from infection, UV radiation and other external aggressions. If it is impaired (cracks, wounds…) the damaged and/or irritated skin is more sensitive and permeable to external attack, and its appearance is also damaged. It is therefore necessary to accompany the various epidermal reconstruction stages to achieve high quality skin repair.

    Mechanism

Cracked skin is a common symptom of dry skin. In response to trauma (exposure to chemical, manual jobs, sport, cold and humidity…) or skin disorders, the skin defense mechanism causes an inflammation, a drying and a thickening of the skin leading to skin breakdown and cracks. The most common areas are: heel, foot, hand cracks.

Irritated and damaged skin could occur futher to a dermatological intervention (peeling, laser…) or a  small domestic wound (scratch, burn…). Affected areas can therefore concerns all parts of our body.
